Interactive “Virtual” Green Belt Training & Mentoring Course Description
Course Description:
This interactive instructor led Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training and mentoring program teaches the tools and techniques of Lean Six Sigma, its metrics, and improvement methodologies. A Green Belt must know how to integrate Lean Six Sigma methodologies for the improvement of production and transactional systems to better meet customer expectations and bottom-line objectives of their organization. The Green Belt has two primary tasks: first, to help successfully deploy Six Sigma techniques, and second, to lead small-scale improvement projects. Also, as a support population, Green Belts can do much of the legwork in gathering data and executing experiments in support of a Black Belt project. During the Green Belt Training, participants will learn how to use many of the Lean Six Sigma problem-solving methods and statistical tools to contribute to the success of the organization.
Whether in healthcare, finance, manufacturing, government, or any other type of service or product-based industry, Green Belt Training is ideal for anyone looking to get the most out of their career. Participants will learn how to apply problem solving and process improvement statistical methods for
achieving rapid results.
Course Topics:
Line Graph, Flowchart, Survey, Project Planning Worksheet, Brainstorming, Multivoting, Check Sheet, Pareto, Sigma (DPMO) Level, Histogram, Bar / Pie Graph, Problem Statement, Cause and Effect Diagram (Fishbone), Scatter Diagram, Qualitative Analysis, Before & After Flowcharts, (Gantt Chart), Cost/Benefit Analysis, Radar Chart, Before & After Pareto/ Histograms, Process Control System.
Learning Objectives:
- To understand Lean Six Sigma (LSS) principles and components and how these are used in an organization.
- To apply the LSS DMAIC five (5) Step Performance Improvement Process.
- To apply key Lean Six Sigma (LSS) analytical tools and techniques.
- To improve a process (participants are encouraged to bring an actual improvement project).
- Apply the Lean Six Sigma mindset in his or her workplace on a daily basis.
Learning Methodology:
This 45-hour interactive instructor led Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training and mentoring course includes 19 “Zoom” sessions, group exercises, case studies, situational simulations and role playing. Participants will be set up in improvement project teams. Group discussions and interactions are especially emphasized for greater internalization of the topics covered during the Mentoring Session.
